Election updates

Democratic White House candidate Hillary Clinton is leading among likely voters aged 18 to 29, according to a Harvard University opinion poll. The former U.S. secretary of state had the support of 49 percent of likely voters, ahead of Republican rival Donald Trump's 28 percent support, a substantially wider lead than Democratic President Barack Obama had over Republican former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney at the same point in 2012.

Since it's now obvious to everybody that hillary will win against the cartoon character next week you can post some links about the truly important topics like how she will lead us into WWIII. Or how the regime she helped install in Honduras has just killed 2 more environmentalists. You could ask the question "who would Berta endorse for president if she were alive". I double dare you.

More on the supposedly better Democrat Party battlefield just came out. The Republicans are now discussing blocking any and all Clinton SCOTUS nominees and are planning (four) years of Clinton investigations and indictments. Thanks to WikiLeaks, many may prevail.

As a country we don't want the two party clown-act of gridlock - one party obstructing the other so that nothing of substance gets done, hence business as usual.

We have to cut through this calculated madness and elect the Green or other reasonable party, so let's do it sooner than later.

The total of all voters in the primary "elections" (quotes, because they were not) was only 90% of all eligible voters. OK so some rabids or ostriches will vote for Clinton or Trump. But all media sources should be doing everything in their power to present the good alternative choices to encourage more people to abandon the two party dumb and dumber show.

We have to do it sometime, or move 300 miles inland, so why not do it now! Existentially, there is only now. If we do it in 40 years as a reaction to rising waters, it will be the now of then, but it will still be a now. Let's just cut to the chase.

Watch Michael Moore's Where To Invade Next to see all the good ideas that originated in the US that are being put into practice in other countries. We're better than we appear to be in 2016!

Well stated Tom, we agree.
Interesting note regarding SCOTUS appointments as the topic of our current vacancy seems to have fallen off the radar.
Passing TPP apparently ranks higher in Obama's priorities than tending to the well-being of our highest court---now why should that be? One conjectures that party over-confidence on the part of the Democrats might be at play with this one and feeling somewhat certain of a Clinton victory Obama's been dragging his feet on this possibly with high hopes of pulling off a Taft in his post-presidential years. Any takers on a bet Hillary's nominee for the Scalia vacancy is non other Barry?
